A forum highlighting the options and role of youth in organic agriculture was organized which was attended by students, teachers, agricultural scientists and media representatives. EDO Attock, Mr Abdul Shakoor Anjum was the chief guest and keynote speaker.
A forum was organized to discuss the challenges faced by rural communities due to rapid climate changes affecting the agricultural systems drastically. Participants debated on issues, their impact specifically on rural youth, mitigation strategies and programmes for interest building and to encourage participation of youth in sustainable agricultural activities.
LSF has started Youth Agriculture Programme for rural youth of districts Attock and Chakwal. 20 high schools have been selected that will show case small-scale climate resilient interventions by involving both teachers and students.
